Mission Trip

Bethany Mission Trip Opportunity for All Ages & Capabilities!

YES, ALL AGES AND CAPABILITIES (not just our high school youth)!  Are you looking for more opportunities to serve and be God’s hands out in the community? Are you seeking additional ways to raise your child in a life of service to others in need?  Do you want to build upon a life grounded in gratitude and perspective?  There is something incredibly life changing and life giving when families and congregations have the opportunity to serve together.  They grow deeper in love with one another; and for others, they discover new ways to serve with humility and a genuine Christ-like love.

Therefore, we have expanded our mission trip opportunities by organizing a trip that accommodates any and all members of Bethany!  The trip is scheduled for July 16-21, 2017 in Axtell, NE, which is approximately a 5.5 hour drive.

This opportunity will serve the Bethphage Village (Mosaic) organization and includes both relational (teaching/community activities) and physical labor (80 acres of property) serving opportunities.  Bethphage/Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities and has become known as the “miracle of the prairie” for its dedication to helping people with disabilities grow toward independence. Through hand-on experiences, this mission trip will allow you to learn about Mosaic’s services and become knowledgeable advocates for people with disabilities.  You can learn more at http://www.mosaicinfo.org/axtell-ne/who-we-are.

Bethphage Village offers a comfortable retreat center with most amenities provided and can house up to 28 people for the duration of our trip.  Whether this is your first time doing a mission trip or your 50th, this is a fun, safe, and enriching opportunity for all members, and all of the gifts that Bethany has to offer.  If you are interested in learning more, please pick up an informational sheet at the Welcome Desk or contact Tara Sawinski at 303-941-0093 or t.sawinski@comcast.net.  There are only 23 spaces available and deadline to register for the trip is May 1.
